IAQ & MOLD ASSESSMENT

Our Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and mold assessment services are aimed at ensuring the health and safety of occupants by detecting and addressing mold-related issues in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. These assessments are comprehensive inspections and evaluation processes designed to identify the presence of IAQ issues and mold within indoor environments. Each assessment is conducted with oversight and recommendations by a TES Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).

OUR APPROACH

  • Visual Inspection: Conducting a thorough visual inspection of the property to identify visible signs of mold growth. This includes examining areas prone to moisture, such as basements, bathrooms, attics, and crawl spaces.

  • Moisture Assessment: Investigating sources of moisture that contribute to mold growth. This involves assessing water leaks, condensation, humidity levels, and potential water intrusion from plumbing or roofing issues.

  • Sampling: Collecting air and surface samples to determine the presence and concentration of mold spores. Samples are analyzed by accredited laboratories to identify specific types of mold and assess potential health risks. Determining the types of mold present, as different species may pose varying levels of health risks. This information is crucial for developing appropriate remediation strategies.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining detailed documentation of the assessment process, including findings, sample results, and recommendations. Providing clients with comprehensive reports outlining the extent of mold growth and suggested remediation actions, as well as guidance on preventive measures to avoid future mold growth. This includes recommendations for moisture control, ventilation improvements, and other practices to create an inhospitable environment for mold.

  • Remediation Protocol: Recommendations for mold remediation based on the assessment findings including cleaning, removal, or other corrective actions to eliminate or reduce mold growth. Each mold remediation protocol is developed by a CIH.

  • Post-Remediation Clearance: Conducting a follow-up assessment after remediation to ensure that the mold has been effectively remediated. This step includes air sampling to confirm that the remediation efforts were successful in eliminating or reducing mold contamination.
