EMF SURVEY

Electro-magnetic fields (EMF) are areas of energy that surround electrical devices and power sources. Prolonged or high exposure to EMF can potentially affect the health and safety of individuals, particularly those with medical devices like pacemakers or defibrillators. An EMF survey involves measuring and mapping the electromagnetic fields in the workplace to identify areas where exposure levels may be a concern. This allows employers to take appropriate steps to minimize risks, ensuring that employees with medical devices are not affected, while maintaining a safe environment for everyone.

OUR APPROACH

  • Collaborative Strategy – We work with the client designee to gather the essential information specific to the cardiac equipment. A TES CIH works with the cardiac equipment manufacturer to determine the allowable exposure limits for the specific cardiac equipment. Furthermore, the CIH works with the employee of concern to document the employee’s routine activities.
  • Designated Sampling Technician – Once a proposal has been accepted by the client, we will assign an on-staff IH Associate to perform the field work.
  • Final Product – We will provide comprehensive project reporting documenting the safe and unsafe work activities for the specific situation.
