HEAT STRESS AND HEAT STRAIN

INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE

HYPERTHERMIA

The physiological condition of hyperthermia, often referred to as heat stress or heat strain are serious health risks that can affect workers exposed to high temperatures. When the body’s cooling system is overwhelmed by excessive heat, it can lead to a range of symptoms, from mild heat rash to life-threatening heat stroke. By understanding the factors that contribute to this type of stress and implementing preventive measures, employers can safeguard their workforce and maintain optimal productivity.

OUR APPROACH

  • Risk Management We assist clients with quantifying heat loads. We screen tasks using WBGT techniques to determine risk, and we use wearable technologies to assist in heat strain solutions for those tasks identified as high risk.

  • Actionable Solutions Once a proposal has been accepted by the client, we will assign an on-staff IH Technician and/or IH Associate to perform the field work.

  • Final Product TES provides comprehensive project reporting to ensure project documentation and reproducibility of the sampling.
